Earl Yen, Managing Director

Mr. Yen is a founder and Managing Director of CSV; he has over 20 years of private equity, investment banking, and technology development experience in Greater China and the US . 

Prior to founding CSV in 2004, he spent over 11 years at Citigroup and Bear Stearns, where he was a senior investment banker in  Asia and helped over 25 Chinese state-owned and private enterprises on their overseas IPOs.  He previously spent three years at HarbourVest Partners, an alternative investment firm, based in the US .

Mr. Yen has lived continuously in China and Hong Kong since 1994. He holds an MS from the MIT Sloan School of Management and BS degrees in electrical engineering and management from MIT.

Mr. Yen currently sits on the boards of CDP Group, SearchMedia, Tidalwave and Woodcycling.  He was previously a director of Roadway (acquired by Dun & Bradstreet).
